About Me

Hi I'm Willow.

I am a qualified counsellor with experience working with both adults and children. My background also includes youth work and providing therapy in schools and colleges, which has helped me understand the wide range of challenges that people can face.

As someone who is both Autistic and ADHD (AuDHD), as well as dyslexic, I know firsthand how important it is to work with a counsellor who truly understands how our brain works. While everyone’s experiences are unique, I believe that our shared neurodivergence can create a unique connection that enriches the therapeutic process. This connection allows me to offer a level of empathy and understanding that can be particularly beneficial for my clients.

I also work extensively with individuals living with chronic illnesses and chronic pain. Having experienced chronic pain since I was 14, I can relate to the emotional and physical toll it can take on a person’s life. This personal insight informs my therapeutic approach, helping me offer a compassionate and nuanced understanding of the struggles my clients may face.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I hold current safeguarding training and DBS checks to ensure that I practice safely and professionally.

Over the past several years, neurodivergence has become a special interest of mine. I am deeply passionate about creating a space for my clients where they feel seen, understood, and affirmed. My approach is focused on working with our brains, not against them. Because of my strong interest in this area, I am constantly learning, reading, and staying updated on the latest research and insights. This ongoing education helps me provide the best possible support, ensuring that my work is informed and empowering for those I work with.

In addition to my professional interests, I have a deep love for animals. To end on a fun note, please find some interesting animal facts below.
